Hello all, I am Gavin (he/him). I live in the Pittsburgh area with my beautiful and witty wife, Laura, and sons, Finnegan and Atlas. I graduated from Point Park University in 2019 with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and Special Education. I have always had a passion for wanting to help others, whether it is furthering their education, helping them cook a yummy recipe, or through our work here at QFPP. I absolutely LOVE being a dad and to be able to help others attain that love would be a great honor. That love is what drove me to start this nonprofit. When I am not “nonprofitting,” I love watching movies/TV, reading books, watching my sons grow into the clever beings they are, and exposing my taste buds to all sorts of new foods and drinks.
Hello, friends! My name is Laura (she/her) and I am the secretary and social media manager of QFPP, wife to Gavin, and mama to Finnegan. I'm currently in a graduate program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania to earn my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have been working as a substitute English teacher for several years and I love getting to spend time with the brilliant and wacky youth of Gen Z. In my "free time" (but really, what is that?!) I love to read, goof off with my family, and do yoga. QFPP is so near and dear to my heart because it was born out of our struggles to grow our family, and I can't wait to help other LGBTQ+ folx with their own families!
Hello, I'm Cas Hruska! I'm a trans-masc., non-binary person (they/them pronouns) who is honored to serve as a board member for QFPP. My passion for this project is rooted in my own quest to have a family, and I'm thankful that our education at Point Park University introduced me to Gavin and Laura. In addition to participating in QFPP, I work as a teacher and am actively involved in an organization for student leaders in the state of Pennsylvania. I'm lucky to live in Pittsburgh with my wife, three cats, and a stellar local community that I love supporting via volunteering, drinking craft beer, and patronizing restaurants.

When she's not working, Kristi enjoys baking, running, and visiting craft breweries.
