Hello all, I am Gavin (he/him). I live in the Pittsburgh area with my beautiful and witty wife, Elis, and sons, Finnegan and Atlas. I graduated from Point Park University in 2019 with a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education and Special Education. I have always had a passion for wanting to help others, whether it is furthering their education, helping them cook a yummy recipe, or through our work here at QFPP. I absolutely LOVE being a dad and to be able to help others attain that love would be a great honor. That love is what drove me to start this nonprofit. When I am not “nonprofitting,” I love watching movies/TV, reading books, watching my sons grow into the clever beings they are, and exposing my taste buds to all sorts of new foods and drinks.
Hello, friends! My name is Elis (she/they) and I am the secretary of QFPP, wife to Gavin, and mama to Finnegan and Atlas. I have my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and work as a therapist for a LGBTQ+-centric private practice. In my "free time" (but really, what is that?!) I love to read, goof off with my family, and do yoga. QFPP is so near and dear to my heart because it was born out of our struggles to grow our family, and I can't wait to help other LGBTQIA+ folx with their own families!
Kelly Nestman (She/They) is a Health Equity Researcher at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. Her passions include ensuring access to family planning, sex therapy and sexuality education for all individuals. Additionally, she is in the process of developing a research project focused on state mandated contraception and abortion counseling using psychology's best practices. She graduated with her Master's Degree in Psychology from Chatham University and has a Bachelor's Degree from Chatham College for Women in Women and Gender Studies. She loves her three cats, plants and all things spooky.
